“Mario Kart World” and “Donkey Kong Bonanza” have emerged as major successes for the new console, driving the sale of 11.95 million software titles for the Switch 2 during the quarter.

The positive consumer reception for the Switch 2 has prompted Nintendo to also raise its overall financial targets for the fiscal year. The company now forecasts total sales of 2.25 trillion yen, an upward revision from its earlier goal of 1.9 trillion yen. Furthermore, its profit forecast has been enhanced by nearly 17%, targeting 350 billion yen.
