Trezor, a pioneer in the hardware wallet space, has unveiled the Trezor Safe 7. This next-generation device marks a significant advancement in cryptocurrency security, introducing several industry-first features. Notably, it boasts the world’s first auditable secure element and a quantum-ready architecture, setting a new benchmark for protecting digital assets. The Trezor Safe 7 also integrates seamless mobile connectivity, making secure crypto management more accessible and convenient than ever before.

Central to the Trezor Safe 7 is TROPIC01, an innovative secure element that offers unprecedented transparency. This marks the first time in the industry that a secure element’s architecture is fully auditable by the community. Unlike traditional secure elements that operate as black boxes with undisclosed designs, TROPIC01 allows for independent inspection, verification, and validation. It incorporates dual secure elements: the transparent and auditable TROPIC01 chip and a secondary, NDA-free EAL6+ certified element. This dual-chip approach provides robust physical and cryptographic protection. Sensitive operations require explicit physical confirmation on the device’s 2.5-inch high-resolution color LCD touchscreen, ensuring that private keys remain completely isolated from connected host systems.

The Trezor Safe 7 is designed for modern users, offering advanced connectivity and an intuitive interface. It supports Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE) for seamless wireless communication and features magnetic Qi2-compatible wireless charging for added convenience. The high-resolution color touchscreen enhances user interaction, providing clear and immediate feedback. All Bluetooth communications are secured through the open-source Trezor Host Protocol (THP), which guarantees encrypted, authenticated, and private connections across mobile, desktop, and tablet devices.

These hardware innovations are complemented by a durable aluminum unibody and Gorilla Glass protection, ensuring a smooth and reliable user experience whether managing assets on the go or at a desk. Through the unified Trezor Suite platform, users can manage a vast array of coins and tokens, engage in trading, participate in staking, and access various third-party integrations, all within a single, cohesive interface.

Powering the device is a long-lasting LiFePO4 battery, which provides significantly more charging cycles compared to standard lithium batteries, ensuring sustained performance over years of use. For users who focus exclusively on Bitcoin, a dedicated Bitcoin-only version of the Trezor Safe 7 is also available.

The Trezor Safe 7 is available for $249 (€249). Pre-orders for the Charcoal Black and the Bitcoin-only versions are now open through the official Trezor e-shop. The Obsidian Green variant is expected to be released soon. Shipping is anticipated to commence within four weeks.
